GTMS Ship can be utilized within any country and provides localized language interfaces and currencies. Hercules translates the localized interfaces into generic formats required by the carriers. Currency conversion happens automatically within the system based upon customer defined conversion rates.

 

Hercules provides shipments via multiple modes which include: Air, Ocean, Rail, Ground, Courier and Hot Shot. GTMS Ship provides the ability to combine multiple modes into a single delivery process by the use of GTMS Segments. Different carriers can be used for each freight mode to assemble the most cost effective, minimized delivery time, improved supply chain performance achieving the best overall performance at the lowest cost for buyers and suppliers while reducing transportation carbon emssions.

 

GTMS Ship with GTMS Compliance ensures products are exported meeting the necessary government requirements and includes total global trade costs per shipment transaction. Hercules avoids releasing shipments to the carriers by the use of shipment holds. Shipment holds include Compliance, Product, Inventory, Financial, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing. Products will not be shipped with shipment holds, providing the maximum control required by governmental agencies.

 

Freight costs can include both buy freight costs; sell freight costs adding optional packaging and handling costs; tracking actual freight invoice costs; broker fees; fines; tariff fees; freight forwarding fees; carbon emissions; special dock handling fees; and warehousing fees. Freight costs can be allocated partially between the shipper (consignor), receiver (consignee) and a third party. GTMS Ship provides for Prepay & Add, Prepay & Allow, Freight Collect, COD, and all of the intermodal (INCO) freight terms. Freight and product insurance can be included with one or all shipments.
